Enduro Bearings revolutionized the cycling industry over two decades ago with the introduction of MAX-type bearings, specifically designed to address challenges in mountain bike pivots. These bearings offer an impressive 35-40% increase in load capacity compared to standard radial bearings. The unique design maximizes ball insertion into the bearing through custom ground slots in the races. Deep race grooves provide enhanced lateral support, crucial for handling the twisting and multi-directional forces typical in mountain bike pivots. The ABEC-3 rating indicates high precision, featuring deep-groove design races, Grade 10 balls, and full-contact, double-lip, labyrinth (LLU) seals for superior protection against the elements. The bearing is packed with 90% fill of Almagard extra high-pressure grease to ensure optimal performance.

Enduro Bearings utilizes 440C stainless steel for longevity and superior corrosion resistance in less-than-ideal applications and environments. 440C is known for its high strength, hardness, and wear resistance among standard stainless alloys. While stainless steel may have 20% less load capacity and be slightly softer than the standard 52100 chromium steel used in most bearings, it serves as an excellent alternative for wet conditions, frequent bike washing, or environments where sweat may be a concern. Enduro stainless bearings come with a two-year anti-corrosion warranty.
